A tube of Tebac cream is in the 10.00 range, all you need in your lather bowl is about 1/2 inch of cream, you can watch some u-tube vids on how to build lather, enjoy!

I mix glycerin with various essential oils.
I keep razors in test tube racks. Figured what the heck, I ought to use it for test tubes also.
The tubes hold 1oz of fluid, some have glycerin, witch hazel, lotion or alcohol (rum, rubbing, etc). Add a drop per oz of essential oil, like bay (pimenta racemosa), lime or whatever you like. If it doesn't smell right, 1oz isn't much of a loss. Combos that work well, I mix a little larger batch, and fill some small amber, corked bottles I got from Amazon. Although I've made many selections, the 1oz each lasts a while.
Also, some stores that sell essential oils, like Whole Foods, have displays to sample sniff if you don't know what you like.

Here is my recipe for shaving beard conditioner. This is applied after the third hot towel application and before the warm lather shaving brush.
1 tube of CREMO Shave Cream.
2 Tablespoons Softsoap brand Shea Butter hand soap.
2 Tablespoons Glycerin
2 Tablespoons Mineral Oil
Add appropriate amount of water to achieve
the desired consistency.
As always, it works for me.......Last edited by mrsell63; 04-30-2010 at 07:33 AM.
