I'm so glad to see more people trying out cold water shaving! I don't use ice cubes or anything, just the coldest water that comes out of my tap.

When any newbie comes and explores forums, they normally see hot towels, hot showers, hot water, hot shaving, scuttles, etc. Everyone, or a majority of people, are tying so hard to make their shaves warmer and for my face that really led to a lot of irritation.
