Thanked: 4Hot Towel?
In what order do you do your towel and lather? Do you make your lather and leave it in a scuttle or sink full of hot water while you then do the towel? Or do you do the towel and then make your lather? Seems the later would let your face cool while you were making your lather. How U Do Dat?

I do the hot towel first. It only takes a few seconds to make lather. I do a second hot towel when I'm finished shaving.

For me it's: have shower (if no shower, rinse face with warm water), apply Proraso Pre & Post, make lather, hot towel, apply lather then shave. Warm rinse at end followed by cold rinse.

Time of the essense...
I find that usually when I want a smooth, easier shave, I have to spend more time prepping, which means hot towel for sure... that helps the blade melt through my tough beard.
But, since I'm usually in a hurry, I just heat my brush with the HotPot and that seems to keep my whiskers hot enough to shave for the day.

When I use a hot towel, I apply it after applying my pre-shave or first coat of lather to my face. The combination of the pre-shave/lather and the towel seems to soften my beard faster than first applying a hot towel, then the lather

Very similar to jhenry
Hot Towel
Shave Oil
Hot Towel
Shave Creme
Shave Gel
If I prepare lather I do that first and keep it warm before doing any of the above
