    Default OVOO Pre-shave Trial Run

I've just completed a several week trial run of using Extra Virgin Olive Oil as a preshave.

Using OVOO didn't seem to change the quality of my shave. Then in realized I hadn't cut or nicked myself for weeks. Was it the oil or have my skills increased. I tend to think it was the oil.

Conclusion: OVOO as a pre-shave has some benefit and will remain part of my routine for the next month. At the end of a month I will reevaluate and begin a month of shaving without pre-shave oil to see if there is an increase in nicks and cuts.

    Hello, Qatsats:

Forgive me, but avoiding nicks and cuts results more from technique rather than pre-shave oil. Any preparation, of course, helps to improve the shave: cushion, glide and overall comfort.

In the case of olive oil as a pre-shave, I have never used it; therefore, I cannot comment on its quality.

On the other hand, I can commend you for improving your shave technique enough to avoid nicks and cuts. Well done, sir. Good show.

    Regards,

    Obie
