There's some locally produced coconut oil, scented with frangipani. A small bottle is on the
shopping list for the next trip into town. The locals call it "Tongan oil" and much prefer it
to the commercially produced "Fiji oil".

Both men and women here use it for skin treatment and hairdressing. Very fragrant.

And you're right....opening a bottle is much easier than opening a coconut!

I gotta agree with my NW neighbor Gerrit, this is exactly what makes this place so fun...

Unless you have a coconut tree in your backyard that could be an expensive routine in the long run. However, it seems cool.

    Hello, Paul:

I must commend you for your creative prowess. That your method also produces superb lather makes what you've done even more impressive.

I Just so happen to have a tub of Walmart's finest LouAna coconut oil in my bathroom right now!

I guess I'll try it as preshave and in my lather. Thanks for the suggestion!
