I use "Aquafor" for skin rashes or irritation like yours. Sometimes the problem is gone in only a few hours.

    AxelH and pmburk like this.

As for the rash,I use this stuff called Cutemol, its great but expensive, but a jar will last a year, all you use is a little dab-ask your pharmacist, its prescribed for psoriasis, and it works on everything,as for a pre shave, try hair conditioner, works better than you would believe, especially the Paul Mitchel, that's how I found out,it said on the label that you can shave with it,and you can,and it works amazingly of corse YMMV-but in this case I doubt it.

The best product to use after your shaving for nicks, cuts, rashes, etc. is the Twinluxe Instant Rescue Gel.

I have it and the stuff works like a miracle. Stops bleeding instantly and works also on those rashes you have. Better than the styptic pens and alum blocks I have used in the past.

Dr., Does the Twinluxe sting like a styptic at at?
I have an aftershave that claims to be alcohol-free, yet burns and irritates my face a bit both times I tried it. Do all aftershaves burn?

If you are refering to the Twinluxe Instant Rescue Gel, it does not sting as bad as a styptic pen when you apply it to a nick/cut. All you do is glob on the gel to the cut and let it dry. The blood coagulates inside the gel and then dries like rubber cement and then you just flick it off your skin. A miracle cure for any shaving accident.

And regarding the TL Soothing Face Balm (I assume you are referring to this too), no it does not sting at all. You will feel some nice tingly sensations on the rough parts of your skin that need repair after shaving but no burn. This is actually my most favorite TL product that I have used from them so far. I have yet to try their facial wash/mask product.

I'd recommend holding out on the next shave until the rash and sensitivity have moved on.
RIGHT YOU ARE, I was lectric shave and i had to wait 4 days till the redness left.
