Default Nivea Cream as a preshave anyone?

Since i've been learning to hone, i've had to shave test my razors and i sometimes just can't be bothered to get in the shower, make bowl lather etc etc..

So bearing in mind when i went to my barbers for a shave, they gave my a face massage with Nivea cream (this stuff) i went out and bought some to try:

Sorry about the link to a shop but i can't find individual images.

Anyways, My quickie shave routine is, quick wash of the face, massage this stuff in, then face lather with one of the creams or a shave stick.

Great results i have to say, i took a look at the ingredients and this is a glycerin based cream with lanolin, so its seems to tie in with the shaving creams or soaps well.

The quickie shave using this has proved every bit as comfy and close as my full routine. whereas the quickie shave with out is definitely more uncomfortable and less close and smooth

    Just letting you guys know

Ahhh, I remember those tins from when I was a kid, I wonder if they still have the same scent? That would bring me back...

Hard scent to describe, there's limonene in it, but if pressed i would say a very mild creamy lemon sherbert smell?

I haven't used Nivea but I have used aqueous cream which is cheap and easily available.

    Another great yet inexpensive product
I hadn't actually thought of trying this out
Just added to my shopping list
Have tried the Nivea After Shave - Sensitive skin one
And feels quite good after my shave
Leaves the skin feeling quite smooth most of the day

    Thanks for the tip tekbow
