I have whats called a candy thermometer I used before to make candles and the wife uses to make, go figure, hard candy for baking projects.
Throw water in a pot, kick on the burner, take it up to 170 ish and let it cool a little. dip some towels around 160 and ring em out.
I don't use it for every shave mind you based on time constraints, but I love when I do.
Also, working on the railroad I am outside in all kinds of weather. Its nice after a cold day or a cold wet day to just get a few warm towels in the evening before bed. Wife has come to like it too.

Thanked: 220Good idea, but my Wife might draw the line at using the wok to heat up shaving towels!
