    Default Chapped Face.....

So i tried the other day a modified pre-shave which was to face lather with AoS Lavender cream and then take my hot shower (the normal) with the "pre" lather on for a little bit....Well i don;t think it was a good idea when i washed the lather off in the shower and got out t continue my pre shave......Oil then lather when i got to the lather part my face was stinging. So much to the point i decided to NOT shave because i didn;t want to make it worse! well when i woke up the next day and today as well my face feels chapped....i.e like when you get snow burn from skiing but not as bad as that. Any thoughts on why? could it be the lather was on to long before i washed it off?? thanks for any help!

Sure it could be the lather. A couple of years ago there was a thread on a particular glycerin soap that burned some guys and not others. It didn't burn on my phizzog if I didn't leave it on too long. Some guys just applying it felt sensitivity to it. So I would either avoid that particular brand or try it when you are going to get right to shaving.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
