    Default My own pre-shave oil

I bought a pre-shave oil from a very highly regarded web site. I won't tell you which because I don't want to get in trouble! And beside it's beyond the point. The point however is that after using it for a while with rather good results and being my self an aromatherapy aficionado, the more I used it the more the I seemed to understand what was in it or at least how could I get the same kind of texture from an oil blend.

I came up with my own blend. I'm not saying that this blend has the same components of the one I bought at a rather high price but it has pretty much the same texture and effect when apply as a pre-shave oil.

I expect that this type of blend it's not going to come as a surprise to many of you as I know well this site if full of very knowledgeable people when it comes to all the secrets of fine shaving but may be it might help one or two newer members like my self.

All I did was to blend olive oil with almond oil and add few drops of basil essential oil. Almond oil is very light and easy to absorb and when you mix it with olive oil all it does is to make the olive oil, which is great for your skin, less heavy and easier to apply. The basil oil just gave the blend a bit of a refreshing kick that I liked, but don't use too much because is very strong.

Play around with amounts depending of how light or how heavy you want your oil.

I'm now using it every day for a fraction of what I used to pay for a pre-shave product and at lest for me, I found it to be as effective as some of the best I have come across.

I hope this is going to be of any help to some one!

    All the best

    Carlos
