I haven't used it recently, but the AOS Sandalwood oil is next up. The oil I am currently using (Origins Easy Slider pre-shave oil) recommends rubbing into a wet face, and that makes a huge difference for me, it creates a much more slick surface than using the oil alone, and a much smoother shave. I imaging the AOS would be the same way.

AOS pre-shave oil is a bit pricey for me. One of these days I'll make my own blend.

I used the AOS shave oil for a while, but was too cheap so I made my own which I really like. If memory serves, just put the oil in a little hot water for a few minutes before you shave. It will thin the oil a bit and the warm oil feels nice on the skin. Give it a try, you'll find you use less oil also.

I used AOS pre-shave oil for awhile. I never found it "sticky," but it is a little "thick" as mentioned in other posts. I've moved away from pre-shave oils and don't use them very often, but when I do, I use a home made mix. It's a bit "lighter" than AOS, and is significantly less expensive.

What is everyone using for a home made pre-shave oil?

I recently ran out of AOS oil, I have some Origins oil which I like too. I bought some Crew brand pre shave oil at the place where I get Pinnaud bay rum aftershave. Turns out it's really good and I like it quite a bit. It was only 15 bucks too, which yes nice.
