    Default OH...the Inhumanity!!!...lol.

Hey Roomies. Just figured I'd post a funnie. I'm in NH visiting my son and in my attempts to keep my luggage/load as light as possible (and with as little potential for incident with the TSA) I begrudgingly chose to keep my str8's and related equipment at the house. Worse yet, I decided to keep my DE Safety razor at the house too. Yeah, I went into a cold turkey totally free fall. The past couple of shaves I've had to "slum it" with the standard "stuff" that almost passes for shaving...you know, the canned foam and the throw away cartridge razor. Terrible...just terrible. I miss my Clubman or Joop scented shaving soap, my shave brush (even IF it's not a high brand) and stropping my straight razor in anticipation of the shave. You really DO get the feel that shaving with this so called "modern" junk is NOT necessarily progress. On another note, has anyone noticed the shape of this razor...specifically the head. If you pay attention, you may notice that it's looking quite similar (at least to me) to the real old rake style single edge safety razors...funny how what's old is new again...anyhoo, have a great shave.

Kinda makes you feel like you're slumming it, huh? lol

I've come to the conclusion that if I HAVE TO use a modern razor I'd rather use a fixed double blade disposable rather than a cartridge, the shave seems to be superior. Granted, the last time I had to resort to that I had my brush and Proraso soap & aftershave, which made me feel a bit better than if I had to use the canned goo.

Oh well, your straight shave just feels that much better when you get home....
