Brush care question
I have a silver tip badger hair brush, and it stays wet for a couple of days. I read online that it needs to be dry or it may get funky, like mold or smelly.
I have it hanging in a stand hair facing down.
Is this something I should worry about?
Thanks!

Re: Brush care question
I would move it to a place where it can dry in a few hours.
I dream of a world where a chicken can cross a road without having it's motives questioned.

Thanks for the quick response! Perhaps an area with more circulation is in order.

If the brush is taking that long to dry I would also suggest you move your razors out of there too. You might end up with rusty blades

Yes i am a little worried about my brush/razor as well. My apartment in on the bottom floor (partially underground) so things stay quite damp. Mold grows pretty easily around the place so i am planning on setting up a fan that is constantly on the desk i keep my razor and brush on in my room. hopefully that will help.

You should always keep your brush to dry in a well ventilated place, I keep mine hanging while they dry, but some will say that's not necessary.

I live in single digit humidity and it takes a good 24 hours for the brush to completely dry after use. With some really dense brushes even longer. Probably having an extra brush and rotating is a good idea.
Of course in the old days men owned one brush and used it every day and didn't worry about such things. No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

I see I'm not alone
A fan is a good idea! It is also likely the problem will get better as soon as it gets cold enough to run the heat It has been unusually warm this year in Wisconsin.

You guys need to buy about 10 brushes each. Or go together and get a communal wind tunnel to dry out your shaving stuff.

Brush care question
I have it drying out in the window sill
We'll see how that works
As for the wind tunnel, I have an idea for a small scale one including a shipping tube and a hair dryer I'll sell it to anyone you just have to use your own hair dryer!
