I actually had a reaction to something in it, turned my face red and burned; i use their deodorant and it works great, but that and their triple cushion cream was pretty lack luster for the price.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

Thanked: 26I tried a sample of it, it wasn't as good as the AOS pre shave oil. I thought that there products were a little to greasy and too much scent. But I do use mostly unscented products. Just my two cents.

I got a tube of it in a Jack Black kit that I was given for Christmas. It says in the rear that it is a "pre-shave oil, shave cream and skin conditioner, all in one." I started using it as a shave cream, but I was not liking its shaving effect. I switched to using it as a pre-shave cream and liked it. It has a nice scent and the cream is easy to use. Although, it feels like putting hair conditioner on your face.
I recently started using pre-shave oils and find that I like the oils better than this Jack Black stuff. Right now, this Jack Black tube is a standby pre-shave cream that I plan to use up, but not buy in the future. I would stick with the oils if you're used to them. You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.

I frequently use Jack Black Beard Lube. It's less greasy to me than any other pre-shave I've tried. I've also noticed that my DE blades seem to last longer when I use it regularly. I rub it on my face before getting out of the shower, and lather over it.

I got a sample...Not a fan...slick, but no protection...causes me to break out a bit as well. I like the proraso green tea pre-shave and really, there are so many nice soaps and creams, I couldn't see any reason why I would want to explore JB further.

Good to know. I almost picked up some of this, but I went with the Supreme Cream instead and plan on using a different pre-shave...
