Thanked: 116The ONLY thing I'm noticing with the cold water is that the soap scum is sticking to the blade more. I do the exact same thing to maintain my razors as bob does and have had no issues with rust at all.

Thanked: 37I tried it today, and got a very good shave, and shaved some time also, which is good when I need to go work. I just prepped with water then lather with Williams soap and a boar brush -great lather, better than with hot water. 2 passes and a great shave. I rinse the blade carefully and wipe off the soap with a hand towel.
