Thanked: 4942For smaller mirrors that you can hang in the shower, if you run the warm shower water over the back side of them, it clears them right up for a nice visible shave.
Have fun.

Good tip
I usually just go at it with a towel, but my folks have a heated mirror in their bathroom that doesnt steam up no matter what. I gotta get me one of those I think.

thanks for the tip. my solution is to open the door when I'm out of the shower, wipe the mirror with a window wiper (or a kitchen wiper? how do you tell which is which?), strop with the door open, and then close it before I start the actual shave. I'd definitely try using the end of my lather on the mirror next shave...

Thanked: 220Thanks for the tip, Martin! I've been looking for a cure for this without leaving the door wide open. I wonder how someone thought of this?!

I tried this after reading this thread... went to CVS and got a travel size can of Gillette regular foam (as in not gel) for $1.39 to test this with.
I made 4 or 5 lines on the mirror.
Well, let's just say I learned that a little bit goes a LOOONNNNGG way.
It did work wonders on the mirror, though, not 100% fog free. More like 90% and a quick wipe from fog free.

Thanks for the tip. I've always been using a hairdryer to clear off the foggy mirrors. Maybe I'll give this a shot, if I get around to obtaining the canned stuff.
