Default confusion, or i am just daft.

What is the difference between aftershave, cologne, edt etc. I know (i think) that cologne and edt are similar, but one is stronger / more concentrated. Thanks in advance

    For me:

    aftershave - a facefull
    cologne - three drops

aftershave has 1-2% essential oils and has skin healing, toning properties in. cologne has 2-4% oils so is cheaper but doesnt last as long. edt has 4-8% oils so has better sillage and longevity. if you use edt after shaving the amount of oils will more likely make your skin blotchy

After an impromptu experement today I found out that A/S doesn't sting anywhere near as much as cologne. I also discovered that I really don't like tabac that much, after nearly drowning myself with a tester of it, but I do like cussons original, smells kind of soapy and clean, its a bit like a cleaner old spice.

i think some a/s are less stingy than others though. ogallallalalalal burns the hell out of me. im currently using james bronnley, a clean, soapy very old fashioned scent.

Its not my fault, I never had a father figure in my life, but that I were young again, you could have adopted me, and taught me the ways of MAN. Alas I shall have to sit in my room and feel inadequate.

funny you should say that, yesterday i was thinking about how my dad shaved who died when i was 18 before i had to shave. i always remember him leaving for work with small patches of toilet roll on his face and neck naturally glued on using his own blood. i would of loved to of got my dad his first cut throat and taught my dad how to be a man
