    Default Old sawmill

I don't like buying aftershaves and the like without being able to give them the sniff test. I have been interested in a Vetyver scent because of the way the scent was described by people on here and finally got a chance to sniff test L'occitane Vetyver EDT on a trip. Liked the scent and bought it. It was a couple of days later that it dawned on me the the scent reminded me of a sawmill on a warm damp morning. Woodsie it is but calling it Old Sawmill is not as sexy as Vetyver I suppose. Still, very nice stuff.

    Bob,

L'Occitane Vetyver is indeed a wonderful scent, one of my favourites. If you catch me on a fall or winter day there's a very good chance I'll be wearing it. As a bonus, my wife loves it too

Hear! Hear! I own-and-use this EDT, seasonally (of course). I like it with TGQ "Pumpkin" or "Autumn Spice", or QED "Vetiver" shaving soap, and Cyril R. Salter's "French Vetiver" shaving cream.

There are other "vetiver/vetyver" afterscents -- EDCs, EDTs, and even EDPs -- but L'Occitane's version (an EDT) is great for the outdoors, without "gassing" co-workers indoors.

And some of you thought all Canadians use the leftover Molson's Ale from last-night's party as today's afterscent...
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

Make that leftover Keith's India Pale Ale for me the morning after.

What a coincidence. I was walking by the old sawmill this morning with Cousin Cletus and Uncle Jethro and Cletus remarked how a smell like that would be appreciated by folks far and wide. Jethro said it just smelled like urine to him. So, when we got back to the ranch Cletus did his usual magic and concocted his own signature scent based on the sawmill. It comes in a pretty straw colored decanter decorated with twisted goat hair which baaabe donated and he's calling it Ur-in-luck.

I gotta figure how to sell it here with out interference from those pesky over handed and over bearing moderators here. Maybe if I send them a free bottle, hmmm.
