I have been using Saint Johns Bay Rum for well over 40 years. I use the classic line that was introduced in the mid 1940's. All natural island ingredients.

I prefer Krampert's Bay Rum Acadian Spice. Great scent and conditioning. Captain's Choice is another excellent choice.

Thanked: 1195Dominica is still my favourite, but I admit I haven't sampled that many.
Still haven't tried Royall though....

Thanked: 10My wife also commented on how good it smelled, so Dominica passed the test.

There are so many Bay Rum Threads....I thought this one would be fine to post in.
Here's the list:
1. Captain's Choice
2. Ogallala (original and lime-peppercorn)
3. Clubman Bay Rum
I plan to pick up some Dominica and Royall in the future.
I'm finding ASAD is a real thing...I have acquired more AS since starting SR shaving than I have ever owned previously before in my life.
I'm not a cologne kinda guy. I like that someone has to be really close to pick up on the scent. and now with ALL the AS I have, that scent changes every day.
It's sad to think about how much fun I missed out on all these years. I'm not playing catch up, I'm just really enjoying myself.Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium

I've only used boots own brand which is alcohol and too clovey.
My wife bought me som ogallala for my birthday and it's great. Must remember to shake but leaves the old boat race feeling and smelling great for hours.

Thanked: 375I really enjoy Dominca Bay Rum Lime. FitJar has Slatteroy (Bay Rum) and I just recieved a sample of the shave soap. The soap smells fantastic! and they have Slatteroy (bay rum) balm to match. I have the fjellheim and it's more like a gel, but absorbs better then most balms I've tried.
