Thanked: 3224For the money, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after some alum block. Never fails to make me feel alive and barbershop clean. The scent does not hang around and interfere with any EDT or what not I may put on later when going out. Mind you I don't have too many aftershaves.

It is impossible for me to decide, because it varies. With time of year, weather conditions, even my own mood. For winter I prefer a soothing, moisturizing AS, other times I may prefer a dry clean splash. Which is a good thing, since there are so many to choose from

I have never settled on one per say but I am never without Aqua Velva Ice Blue, Ogallala or Pinaud of some flavor.

Thanked: 284I haven't tried a ton, but Imperial Barber products Bergamot aftershave has been great. Soothing and just feels good in general on the skin. And it's really inexpensive - I think it's like $10 at royalshave.com

Thanked: 1263As far as performance of the aftershave goes it really all depends on the day. And by that I mean what razor is used, what stage it may be at as far as needing honing, how heavy my hand is during the shave etc.
I really do like the T&H Balms in the Winter as far as soothing goes, and mainstays in my rotation will always be Floid Amber, Acca Kappa, and for all around soothing even though the scent fades quickly would be Spieck.

Thanked: 485Depends on the weather for me. On hot days lately I like Myrosol Aqua de Limón. In the past I've raved about Madame Scodiloi's 'Step Right Up' as it's very soothing with the essential oils in it. I also love Tabac, Lavanda, T&H Trafalgar and Floïd. However, really, I like all after shaves, even the cheap ones like Blue Stratus...
