Default Captains Choice line ....any good ????

Anybody have any experience with any of the Captains choice line of aftershaves ? One in particular makes me curious is the one called North which is supposed to have a nice juniper woodsy scent. I have not tried any of this line of AS and lookin for a new scent. Please keep to this particular line for feedback as this is the one I am specifically looking into .

I'm about halfway through their Bay Rum. The Lady of the house isn't too fond of the bay rum scent, but Captain's Choice is a pretty good quality A/S either way (just my HO). A nice sting (no I won't try their Cat o' Nine Tails Bay Rum). The scent fades after a couple of minutes, but will linger for a couple of hours. Not much in regards to hydration, but it doesn't dry my skin like the Clubman A/S I have (Lustray Draggon Noir).

A little goes a long way so the 118ml/4oz bottle lasts for months (I've been using it daily for the past 5 months and I still have a little over half of the bottle left); the 20$ price tag ends up being a pretty good investment.
I'll be getting a bottle of CC Lime next; if She likes the scent, it will stay in the permanent rotation.

    Cheers.

Pi3- I'm using the Lime now and like it a lot. It's not strongly "citrusy" but has a nice lingering scent. Like all the CC scents, it has a clove backdrop - anyone with clove oil sensitivity might be careful with it.

Nightblade- North has more of a pine than juniper scent to me although it's quite mild. It also contains clove oil; they seem to be stuck on the stuff.

I am a huge fan of CC. After I splash on their bay rum, my face feels great the rest of the day. Now, you have to like the bay rum scent for this to be a good choice for you. I also have their lime scent as well. Both are great after shaves. What I like about them is that the scents are great but they don't linger all day. While a mild bay rum scent would be great if it hung on, no bay rum seems to. As for the lime, I'd rather that it blow off rather quickly and it does. But not to disagree with Tack, but clove is not in their bay rum. In fact, its one of their selling points for people who don't like overly "clovey" bay rum. Regardless, I highly recommend CC. I've gone through many bottles already and have tried many others. CC continues to be a go-to AS for me.

.. but clove is not in their bay rum..
Oops, absolutely right, in fact I have told others that right here, duh. It's just in the other scents. I like the Bay Rum as well and agree that it is not overpowering.. hangs on but it's subtle.

Incidentally, if you like a strong citrus scent, Pinaud's "Citrus Musk" is just the ticket. It's the only Pinaud product I can stomach. It's strong so a little bit does it but it is a nice mostly lime scent. I think I will repackage it in a CC bottle so I can meter the dosage better.

I just received a bottle of the Cat-o-nine tails and used it the other day, I love it. It has a very pleasant burn to it. I haven't tried any of their other after shaves but have now added them to my list, might try the lime next. I would recommend it.

I have the CC Lime and that's all I've used since I got it. I love the scent, and a pretty decent, reasonable price! I'll definitely buy more when I run out.
