Is it just me or the older some women get the more their perfume taste turns to "weed killer" variety. Do their smell buds die off as they age? Perhaps it's a negative cycle of their perfume actively killing their sense of smell hence the need for ever increasing quantities?

I think I read somewhere that as we age our sense of smell does diminish. But that doesn't explain the 20 and 25 year olds running around with 3 quarts of perfume on.
That's also my biggest fear when it comes to this stuff. Don't wanna end up one of "those guys".

I believe that comes from nobody telling them that one bottle does NOT equal one application.
plus they constantly reapply throughout the day.

I used to live by Armani Acqua Di Gio, but my girlfriend gave me a bottle of Versace last week and I really like it. Both are very light with one little daub, and unholy and overpowering with more than that.

+1 on the girls/guys who's perfume/cologne can be seen in the air with a lazer-pointer - haha - I encounter that all too often on campus. Not so much here, though, as I did at A&M.

I've been enjoying the Trumper colognes. My favorites are GFT, eau de quinine, wild fern and the eucris EDT. You can get a sampler pack from their web site that has about 10 cologne samples along with some shave creams and their skin foods.

Pinaud Clubman is a good aftershave, their Citrus Musk cologne however has a longer staying power, but still has that bergamot undertone that I always associate with Pinaud and really like.
    IMO,,
    Cheers.
