Thread: My favorite aftershave (homemade)

What I like about this is that it's inexpensive, distinctive, subtle and not too perfumed. And hell. If you don't like it on your face just pretend it's Christmas and pour yourself a glass.

1/4 cup amber colored rum
8 whole cloves
8 whole allspice berries
1 or 2 whole bay leaves depending on size

Combine all the ingredients together and place in an airtight container. Let stand for 2 days on a shelf or counter somewhere (not in the direct sunlight). Strain and place the liquid in a small bottle. Use after shaving.

Although I use rum I think any amber colored spirit would do; rye or scotch whisky, bourbon, brandy etc.

Whisky aftershave? I would spend all day trying to lick my own face!
