Where to get samples of cologne?
One one post to this Forum, I saw a posting that mentioned getting a sample of cologne. How does one, or rather, where does one get samples of the some of the British cologne manufactures (i.e., Thumpers, Penhaligons, Truefitt & Hills, Taylor of Old Bond Street, etc.)?
The cologne I have been wearing for decades is Halston Z-14. As I am now in my mid 40's, I think I need to move toward a more 'mature' scent. Some of the colognes that are being sold at department stores in Louisville seem to be directed toward much younger men(?).
Any thought on getting samples?

Hi Pete, and welcome to the forum....here's a link to a guy who sends out very generous samples of shaving creams, colognes, etc....he's legit, but make sure you read through his posts for a current availability list:

Another alternative is to visit stores (although local selections can sometimes be sparse)..it takes more time, but uyou won't spend as much cash to get the samples. You can also check sites like www.parfumsraffy.com and google the manufacturers to see if they'll send samps out..that can take a long time, though..
Good luck ,and use the internet as a resource!

Thanked: 213Go to the company's either producer or retail web site email customer service and request EDT and shaving samples. Does not hurt to mention the forum they are more likely to send more knowing you are someone who buys more then one kind. I just got one from Floris sent UPS Three Shaving Creams 3 ASB and 7 Colognes all for free did not even pay for shipping. I have done almost all of them. Everyone I have tried but 1 sent me samples. Poraso did not.
