"Old School" after shave recommendations, please.
As a young man, and for most of my life, I have held to one after shave; Old Spice. There were other choices, but I eschewed them in favor of OS.
Now, as I'm beginning to really start to explore wet shaving in a more genuine, old school way( SR and DE), I have a great desire to revisit some of these scents, and see what they are about. Brands like Aqua Velva, Skin Bracer, Brut, English Leather, etc.
Any of you that can remember others from 30-40 years ago that were popular or that have stood the test of time, please, jump in and call them out.

My older brother wore this all the time. If it was still made, I'd give it a whirl. Too bad they don't make a good knock off.

Pinaud Clubman, Musgo Real, Bay Rum (take your pick of brand), and any sandalwood. All of those would fit the bill.

A lot of the old school scents that you named, I have. I used them many times over the years. Most all of them now, rarely get used except the Pinaud.
The reason for this is that Dan (OCDshaver) sent me some aftershaves last year that he did not care for the scents, luckily I liked them all & had the doors open to another world of aftershaves & colognes that I would never have tried,,,,D.R. Harris Arlington, Edwin Jagger Sandalwood, Taylor of Old Bond Street Eton College , WHISKEY After-Shave Splash from Portland, Truefitt & Hill Trafalgar Aftershave, just to name a few. These aftershaves beat anything I've ever used on this side of the pond. Yes, they cost, but life is short & don't cheat yourself out of a great journey.

I like OCDShaver's list, and would add Tabac and maybe even TOBS Mr Sidney's and Floid Original.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
