Gentlemen,
The Art of Shaving sandalwood cologne is quite strong, as Gugi notes, and requires minimal amount. Also, it is alcohol free.

This thread inspired me to take out the SMN sandalwood from the back and I'm going to be wearing it today.
I must say I really should be wearing it much more often than I do. It's quite unique with its herbal rather than woodsy direction that sandalwoods tend to take. So very florentine, it may even make me go back there this summer!
And while at it I found my collection of SMN samples and after a thorough sniffing throughout the day yesterday I think I am ready to order another bottle that I hadn't picked before So many good scents, so little time in one's life, I figure I better enjoy them while I am still on this side of the flowers!!!

I'm also a fan of the Taylor of Old Bond Street version of Sandalwood. It has the slight undertones of a classic vintage fragrance.
However, based on a few of the above responses, it looks like I'll need to sample the Floris Sandalwood!

I just wore one of my vintage Floris Sandalwood today and thought I'd post here. It is quite different than the standard Floris Sandaldwood in the 100ml bottle.
The one I wore today a 50ml a bit of hourglass shaped bottle and it is much deeper/softer/rounded, I always thought that it may have been meant more for a feminine scent, but I don't have issues pulling it off (may be my girlish figure and metrosexual clothing help...) It has a bit of a vetiver note as well and is much stronger than the what I consider 'the regular' floris sandalwood in the 100ml. I did double check that it is 'toilet water' and not 'perfume' because concentration can change things dramatically. I think it's just an earlier formulation.
