I bought my pinaud from this company last year same sky high price .. I mistakenly ordered twice and the people did phone to tell me this , nice of them ? well I was rather taken back with how rude they were ..
Still .. I do love the lovely feeling of my face when applied ... It feels like someones applied some baby soft talcum powder to my face

Thanked: 0[QUOTE]
Sorry no sympathy here, the company I work for makes urinal cakes so I smell like a highway rest stop urinal when ever I'm out on the floor for more then 5 minutes. I always have to make sure to separate my cloths when I get home or they contaminate my none work stuff. Drives my girlfriend crazy.

As far as the clubman, sounds like I got to give that a try.

I just picked up a 6 oz. bottle of Pinaud Lilac Vegetal at an antique store for $0.75 I live in the town where CVS is headquartered, so you see allot of those types of goods at antique and discount stores). Anyway, can't say I'm impressed with the smell yet. I'll give it a go tomorrow after my shave and see if it 'sits' better in use. I love the normal Clubman. It's my favorite everyday aftershave.

So i received my pinaud vanilla aftershave today.
Wow is it nice, my wife and daughter agree it is the nicer one out of the bay rum or vanilla. It goes on strong and like alchohol but 10 minutes later it is smooth and subtle, masculine but quiet.
Definitely a re order from me and only 12 bucks.
The bay rum is nice too.

Thanked: 0That's BLASPHEMY!
I love Clubman. I have the traditional, the vanilla, and Pinaud Bay Rum. I agree with others that the Bay Rum isn't the best, and my fiancee hates it, but occasionally I like to use it just to change things up a bit. Traditional Clubman is definately in my regular use pile.

I too love the PInaud Special Reserve and the clubman but I do not understand how anybody in times gone by would want to wear something that seems a cross between decaying flowers and cat pee!
I guess that is what I determined the top and bottom notes of the lilac vegital! I found it interesting that the urine theme is noted by more than myself.
Were preferences that different back in earlier days? Mike B
