Aloha Gentlemen!
Still experimenting with taming the Lilac Veg. I saw yet another barber tip to cut with Witch Hazel instead of distilled water. So I put a full bottle of Lilac Veg in a glass pump decanter (that filled the decanter exactly 1/2 up) then filled up to about 90 percent with Dickenson's Witch Hazel. Then 2 Tablespoons of 87 percent Wintergreen Alcohol.
Nice. I prefer this to cutting it with distilled water and alcohol - plus then you get the added benefit of Witch Hazel astringent with your Lilac Veg. But it still needs the tablespoon or two of Wintergreen Alcohol IMO to tame it and change the nose. I used Dickenson's because I wanted the alcohol, but no harm no foul if you want to go with Thayers non alcohol Witch Hazel.
These bottles with pumps can be had from Amazon for around $15 delivered. I like getting aftershaves and colognes out of plastic and into glass anyway for longer storage.
