    Default Fine Accoutrements Aftershave

I ordered a sample of the Fine Clean Vetiver from Maggard's Razors. I did not like the scent. YMMV

When the new Platinum came out last week I ordered a bottle. I used it this morning and I am impressed. I am no scent guru, but this is excellent! It is supposed to be based on Creed Aventus. It also has more menthol than I expected. All the “Buzz” seems to be well placed!

I liked the original "old style" bottles. It is too bad the supplier could not keep up with the demand. The good news is that the new glass bottles have the original labels showing “100ml”, but they contain 120ml at the same price!

I liked it just as much today. I think this one is keeper.

Thanks for the heads up. I have the sampler as well as bottles of the American Blend and Italian Citrus. Really enjoy these AS splashes.
I wasn't aware of this new scent...and a bummer about the bottles b/c the old school ones are neat...the extra 20 ml helps take the sting out of that.

Have you tried Frostbite? I'm curious about that one as well

Just the Platinum and a sample of the Clean Vetiver, which I didn't rock my boat.

Could you possibly describe the veliver for me? I love products that smell like veliver EO. Damp, earthy, grassy=good IMO. Yet too many smell sweet & perfumey. Or worse, they contain patchuioli(sp?), which I cannot stand. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Maybe this will help?

According to Mr Fine on Reddit, each of the scents except for Snake Bite is based on an existing fragrance.

American Blend - YSL Rive Gauche pour Homme
Fresh Vetiver - Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
L'Orange Noir - Terre di Hermes
    Clean Vetiver - Guerlain Vetiver
    Savon Lavande - Gendarme
Italian Citrus - AdP Colonia Essenza
    Platinum-Creed Aventus

I got the sampler from their website, and I like them all. The Snakebite is intense! These are great splashes. They leave your face feeling fresh and smooth. I just can't decide which one I want to buy. FYI, the samples are generous amounts. A very good deal for $20.

I just ordered the Fresh Vetiver and Italian Citrus from SRD and I'm looking forward to trying each of them. Had to get my "free shipping" when ordering other items so I needed to buy these

The reviews are very positive on Amazon as well.

I used the Platinum again this morning. It is now officially one of my favorites in the Den. I am going to order American Blend next.

How do you like that La Toja? I find it to be as good of a value as Proraso. I get a great shave from it and its damn cheap.
