I do work in a couple department stores pre opening hours and have access to all the testers. My list is growing very quickly but only get what I like best because if I brought everything that smells good... just what I needed another addition

I go by smell and longevity, if it is not on me for 6 hours at least it is not worth the money.
So far the Thierry Mugler line up is the best lasting fragrance of all that I have tried even the Cologne which is a fresh summer type of fragrance.

Will definitely agree with you it has to last. Most I can still smell on my work tops when I wash them at the end of the week and if it can last on my skin long enough to smell at the end of the day it aint much good to me. This is the real test as I work in hot environment a lot so can sweat a bit.

You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

There are several that I like:
    Creed Santal
    Windsor
    Opus 1870
    Route du Vetiver
    Floid Blue
    Ogallala Bay Rum
Proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance.

My go to for a long while now has been Dolce and Gabbana-light blue. It is a great fresh scent. It lasts a long time 6-8 hours if you aren't using it before some kind of sweat inducing activity.
