Thanked: 1Favorite Sandalwood Scent?
I just wanted to get some feedback from you guys on which company makes your favorite sandalwood? I do not live near anywhere that carries the vast majority of the products I use so I order all of my wet shaving gear/accessories on line. The only problem that poses is that I do not get to smell the product before I purchase it. Sandalwood is one of mine and my fathers favorite scents. Please feel free to share with me who makes your favorite sandalwood scent. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I am not a fan of sandlewood but...
I can tolerate Castle Forbes Cedarwood/sandlewood and Penhailgons Opus 1870. Opus smells like cedar shavings without the Guinea Pig living in it."The best way to have a good idea is to have a lot of ideas." -Linus Pauling

Thanked: 1Thanks JTmke. I have used some other Castle Forbes aftershaves and been very pleased with their product. I have not used any of the Penhailgons as of yet because I wanted to make sure I liked the scent before I spent that kind of money on a aftershave or soap. I will have to give the Opus 1870 a shot then. Are there any other scents of Penhailgons you also enjoy? They have a beard oil I have been wanting to try on my goatee for some time now but always end up talking myself out of it. Thanks again.

Blenheim Bouquet should be on your list before Opus. It, to me, is fantastic. Others have said Sartorial is great, I have yet to experience that flavor but I will.

I like none of the sandalwood scents that I've tried so far. Maybe it's me

AoS Sandalwood ranks right up there; Cyril Salter is pretty good too,

Thanked: 7I love sandalwood, one of my favorite fragrances. The one I like the most is Truefit&Hill very subtle and over the top. Stay away from Crabtree&Evelin, this one is for the braves

It's Geo F Trumper Sandalwood for me. The aftershave is extremely long lasting scent as well

Thanked: 1AoS and Queen Charlotte are the only two that I've tried, but I love both of them. The edge goes to AoS though for sure.
