Default WM Nuemann after shave balm and aftershave sampler

Just received my after shave balm and aftershave sampler, pretty excited to shave now so I can try them out! Anyone have experience with these guys products? They also included free a bar of soap, peppermint clove smells really good.

Great stuff! Their shaving cream is super slick, too. My preferred scent is the 1911.

The aftershaves are nice. Same with the balms, very nice. I had the 1911 soap and it was.....ok. In the end, I don't like glycerine shave soaps. I've yet to use one that really wow'd me. BUT, I tried their Bay Rum and Peppermint and Clove soaps and they were downright awful. The lather collapsed on my face before the shave was over. But I use the 1911 aftershave and balm as well as the peppermint and clove. I like them both. And there are several really nice scents that they have, I just have these two.

I used the aftershave balm this morning after work and the scent is awesome I am going to start going through my sampler pack here in over the next few days. Honestly just smelling all of them they have a scent called old fashion soda or something like that and I don't think I care for that scent but gonna try them and see. Thanks for the feed back I appreciate it. What would you recommend for aftershave I have never really used anything until I got into wet shaving. Thanks OCDshaver and Moonshae

I tried a full set of samplers in their aftershaves. Yeah, the old fashioned soda was pretty weird. I really liked the 1907 and 1911, but my wife thought they were too old fashioned and smelled like something her grandpa would wear. She really liked heartwood though, so I bought the soap and aftershave. I've only got a few shaves with the soap and it is pretty good for a glycerin soap. The aftershave leaves my skin very soft feeling compared to pure alcohol aftershaves.

My wife actually liked the 1911 scent that I ordered so I was lucky there, I can not say that it is like anything my grandpa wore but each their own : ) Really out of the 8 samples the soda was the only one we both agreed was just a odd scent. Smelled like black licorice to us which I can't do and honestly the bay rum did not really do much for me either. But I have em so I will give em all a fair chance til they are gone.

I tried their Old Fashioned Soda, and they deserve a firm slap on the wrist for ever unleashing this stuff unto the public. Scents are personal, and I am sure that somewhere out there, there is someone who enjoys the smell of 1930 scouring powder. So that's that. The performance, however, cannot be argued with, and it is ridiculous. One of the worst soaps I have ever tried: finicky to whip up, weak and unstable lather, mediocre glide (it's a glycerine based soap, they should have got at least that right, but no!), and negative moisturising.

As far as glycerine based soaps are concerned, Straight Razor Designs's own brand is really nice. So it can be done.

Well a bit of an update on the sampler pak from WM Neumann, I have tried the lime mint I believe it is and I really enjoy it as does my wife. The lime mint is a really refreshing, clean scent I think I will have to ask for a bottle of that for the up coming holiday next I have tried the heartwood which I really enjoy as well very manly, woody scent and after that I have tried the absolute zero. Hold on for the absolute zero, that stuff burned like pure gasoline! I loved the scent but my lord it burned like fire, on that note I do not blame the product I had a less than desirable shave the other day when I tried that scent so that was more my bad than theirs. I will keep adding my simple thoughts on the rest of the scents as I use them.
