I searched for it on this site, no results
Good morning gentlemen,
As may have been gleaned from my posts, I am an ardent supporter of samples. From frozen pizzas in the grocery store to my shave soaps. I want to try, smell, touch and maybe taste all the things before I put down the full container. It is not so much about the money (in most cases) but it is exciting to see a pile of scents at your finger tips and debate what to use with what to achieve the proper scent for the day.
So, I bought 8 samples from Old Town this past week for my father for Father's day and decided to double it so that I can try those creams as well. Lo' and behold, as I open the package Friday afternoon, they threw in an extra sample in there. Something I have never used before, except some dickering in highschool trying to woo some ladies. It was aftershave, or more accurately 'eau de parfum'. Enter into my life Penhaligon's Halfeti. I saw the sample, in it's book like piece of cardboard, with its fancy seals and her majesty's whatnots and was immediately intrigued. There's only 1.5 mL of it in its tiny spray container, but oh well, it's free and sprayed some on my left hand. I was thoroughly impressed, this isn't your father's Old Spice. A whole lotta scents, fairly well combined into a nice bouquet of 'I smell pretty'.
Hmm, Maybe John should pick some up, why the heck not?
*go into google, search the name and scent*
$200?!?! I like it quite a bit so far, good thing I can try it out at least 3-4 times. Is the price worth it? hmmm
However, as my father said when I told him about the sample (conveniently neglecting to inform that 1/2 of them were to be his, soon) "Son, that scent better pick-up the women for you!"

I had to look that one up-never heard of Halfeti before.
The Penhaligons miniature pack has been on my wish list for quite some time. I've been wanting to try Blenheim Bouquet and Endymion for quite some time. I suspect a sample vial of Blenheim arrived in the mail last week. I guess I'll find out on Father's Day.

My suspicion is that it is a newer scent, since the place I received the sample does not actually have it for sale and results on SRP yielded naught. Their "scent library" is pretty intriguing, but doesn't include the Halfeti...
May your father's day be full of shaving related goods!
