Lately I've been mixing my own.

I've just been using a variety of EO's, Aloë Vera, Glycerine and Alcohol.

If you get the mixture right you can smell it almost all day, it smells GREAT and moisterizes the face. I'ts very easy but does require a bit of experimenting to get the scent/alcohol ratio right.

I'm with Jeff on this one. I use the D.R.Harris Arlington After Shave Milk first, and then spray the cologne version afterwards. That way you get the moisturizing effect and all day cologne smells together without bastardising the fragrances.

And if you really are as addicted as I am, you can complement that with the anti-perspirant roll-on, deodorant, pre-shave, and bath soap.

You know, Lou's right... they DO put it in crack.

    hahaha...uhm...NO!!

I'm not all that much into the flowery scents.

    I've got a mixture of:
    Sandalwood
    Vanilla
    Bergamot
    and Cedarwood that's great.

The other mixture that I really favor at the moment is:

Sandalwood, Vanilla, Ylang Ylang and Amber.

If you'd rather smell like a pine forest you should try cedarwood and Lemon

and there's loads of other combo's.

Give it a try sometimes. It often smells better than things bought and is a LOT cheaper. Plus once you've done it you can always make more.

Okay, I have to say I'm really starting to get into the Aqua Velva. I stayed away from it for the longest time because it was cheap and 'obviously' the expensive stuff was better, but after so many positive comments about it here I took the plunge ... and am really liking the scent. It's not too far different from my favourite cologne: Dunhill for men (the sadly discontinued 1934 cologne).

    Hey, Howard Newell,
Thanks for the tip on Aspen. Nice stuff! Easy on the face and a great "modern" smell that lasts quite awhile.
