Thanked: 1Homemade bay rum
So I have been looking into making my own aftershave, (help save a little money) I’ve seen some recipes that look legit and others...not so much! Anyone in here tried this? If so, how did they turnout? I am specifically looking to make a bay rum aftershave, any favorite recipes out there? Let me know how things turned out for you.
Thanks,
Nathan

I had member str8fencer on here make me a liter of bay rum splash.
It was awesome! At least on par with all the other commercial products I've tried over the years.
Check out his posts, he has made som how-to's on it if I recall correctly.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I made some several years ago that I'm still working through. It turned out great - will try to find the post with the recipe. It's here somewhere...
EDIT: found the thread - lots of ideas here:

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 1936I've done it several times. I use only my own now. Next batch will be made from alcohol that I have distilled...so even more of my own.
