Default Discovering Pecksniff's Eau de Toilette

    Gentlemen,

Truefitt and Hill's Spanish Leather, and Woods of Windsor, two British products, are my signature scents — if I were to have such a thing. Years ago in a TJ Max store in Colorado, I bought out the store's entire stock of Woods of Windsor — all 11 bottles. I finished the last one about two years ago.

Recently I discovered another scent, this one an Eau de Toilette, from Pecksniff's, another fine British name. The Eau de Toilette was on sale at a ridiculously low price, and I grabbed the last three bottles, two "Active" and one "Charismatic."

To quote a description of Pecksniff's scent for the "Active" version of the Eau de Toilette:

Cool and fresh opening with lively notes blended from mandarin, zest and cedarwood. The green heart is tempered with vetiver, lavender and rich woody tones, whilst supported on a timeless base of moss, cedarwood and musk.

    And the "Charismatic" version:

Rich, dark and mysterious, an oriental fragrance where tarragon and lime trail through the sumptuous base of alluring musk, vanilla and tonka.

I get a kick out of stock scent descriptions manufacturers offer with their products. On the other hand, scents are difficult to describe.

Anyway, of the two, I prefer the "Active" version. I wore it for the first time a few days ago — and fell in love with myself. What a refreshing and delightful scent. Not too strong. Somewhat lasting. Of course, that the dearly beloved liked it secured this Pecksniff's version a permanent resident in my humble shave den.

I have 2 of Pecksniff's EdTs bought at Winners which sells discounted goods. Nowhere on the bottles does it say what variety of EdT they are. One bottle has a clear liquid and the other yellowish like Obie's. Both are quite nice.

Sorry, I don't care how good it is there's something about that name.

I obviously lacked enough caffeine to realize the hilarity of the surname until your post this morning. Thanks!
