Thanked: 1Aqua Velva, you sly old dog, you
Man oh man do I love this stuff, the Ice Blue Aqua Velva.
I almost wanna drink it.
Seriously it's the only AS I like the smell and feel of so much I go back later to splash on my face again.
I have been neglecting this stuff due to it being on shelves so long I overlooked it. I need to remember that even in my new 'gourmet' shaving lifestyle, not all products you see on shelves everywhere suck.

It is good stuff. AV, Old Spice, Pinaud, Hoyt's - all cheap and bee around a long time. They make a nice change from all the fancy-pants products.

Just finished a bottle of Ice Blue Aqua Velva on my recent trip to Orlando. And I'm about out of Pinaud. Going to have to restock. But, just over 3 months to Christmas so I don't want to overdo it

Thanked: 5i'm not a big fan of using aftershaves or colognes (even light scents can sometimes leave me with a headache). I even use Mitchum deodorant (COMPLETELY unscented and the slogan "So tough you could skip a day" really holds true)
My girlfriend can't really smell anything other than citrous scents, so investing in anything is kind of a waste.
I yearn to be different from every other guy sporting the latest flavor-of-the-week cologne (they all smell pretty generic to me) so I think that if i do buy something, i'd like to try florida water and hoyt's for that old school feeling and smell that will set me apart.
With so many choices, I find the easiest choice is to not choose at all.Last edited by edk442; 09-21-2007 at 05:20 AM.

Thanked: 9I also like to be a bit different; most guys around here use ADG, EA or something similar, and I have no problem because I am faithful to a couple other scents. (When I was younger I used to have 30 edts or so. These days are gone though. Now some of my friends have anywhere b/n 50-100 and I think this is just crazy)
Since so many people rave about it - I went to sniff AV - can't say I like it, definitely not my style. I'd recommend to anyone to go to the store and actually check it out before just buying.
Cheers

Thats true, Except with Florida Water, I have looked in all the usual places around here, But can't find it. I have a couple of them that I ordered off line. I really do not like to order most things that way. I want to smell them first.

Thanked: 550-100 EDT's that's unheard of! even the most metrosexual of my friends have maybe 5 max.
I like to smell things before I buy, but I've never seen Florida Water or Hoyt's locally, and at $16 for both from QED it's not a very extravagant venture.
