It does sting a little if you have been harsh with your face. But if you dont nick yourself and you dont do 5 passes, you will love this stuff. It does have alcohol, and i believe a tiny bit of menthol, but when i put this stuff on, my face feels great, smooth, and smells pretty good too.

Ill get some of the Nivea that doesnt have alcohol and give that a test soon enough. But I imagine its the same greatness, but with no burning.

I actually think the burning helps me find where i have been a little too harsh with the razor.

If you want to go that route try the Loreal Mens Expert Comfort Max Anti Irritation aftershave balm with SPF 15 sunscreen. Quite a name. It is good stuff though with meds in it to help with irritation and inflamation. It has no alchohol.

This was the reason that I got through being a noob. I still mix it with my aftershave balms because it is cheap and good.

I have the stuff in the white bottle. I think its for sensitive skin and its pretty good stuff. I use it after my aftershave to extinguish the flames and it works really well. It smells good, but its not over powering at all, so you can use it in conjunction with your other options.
