Jack Black makes a product which is a gel with colloidal silver. it doesn't have the blood stopping abilities of the stick but it promotes healing and is antimicrobial.

A square of toilet paper gently applied with pressure and then a 1" square applied after it stops bleeding. This is what I do and it matches the toilet paper stuck to my heel so I coordinate.

We always have an aloe vera plant in the house. As Pups said, break off a small tip and rub in on the cut.
AV is also good to treat a minor burn or scratch.

Silver nitrate is a good coagulant but it does leave the skin a bit black.

Well, I went and took a look at my styptic pencil, and it has no aluminum in it at all. Just a bit of aluminium as far as I can see. PM me your address and I'll send you some.
