Thanked: 13234Many places will carry some type of Bay Rum, check more Drugstores rather than large box places...
Online every vendor on here carries some, but we do have one Canadian contributing vendor and I found one bay rum so far, you can search for more

Ok so Ive got some Pinaud Clubman Bay Rum, so I now have a comparison to TOBS. Im not too sure about the Clubman yet, I need to test it for a few more days. It didnt have the same effect that TOBS had on me the first time I opened it.
Im still waiting in anticipation for my Dominica to arrive. In the meantime what is Dominica like compared to Clubman? Should I still be excited for my package to arrive?!

Scipio,
I have used Dominica...Its very good. I like it. In fact, I have a bottle of it that I use as a beard prep and aftershave.
I have read here on SRP that Ogallala Bay Rum is even better though."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

I received the Dominica today! But it was the Bay Rum Lime version whatever that is! The seller got it wrong!
Still good stuff, but its not the one I wanted. Now I have 2 wait another 2 weeks for the original stuff..sigh.
Anyone here tried Dominica Bay Rum Lime and the original, just to know how they compare?

Not sure if this helps.....
St.Charles Shave makes a product called, Bay Rum with a Twist aftershave milk, and I personally like it. It's a good bay rum with lime scent. It compliments both my Bay Rum shave soap and my Lime EO shave soap.
This thread reminds me that I'm out of Bay Rum AS. I'm also a fan of Bay Rum ( my favorite is Royall).

I don't know if everyone has seen this, but here are some Brew Your Own recipes for Bay Rum on the Art of Manliness website.

Thanked: 369Yes, I have both. I tend to prefer the original, but there is something alluring about the lime. The lime seems to have a more medicinal fragrance (at least to me it does) but I still like it.
Another bay rum/ lime concoction called Citrocol (also available from CA Antilles) to me is less medicinal and more limey. Very nice.
And while I'm at it I'll add another brand of bay rum that hasn't been mentioned yet - Arawak Islands Ltd. Bay Rum. This is a very strange bay rum I purchased while visiting the island of Grenada. I like the fragrance, seems to have a lot of clove. But the effect is very strange, at least on me. Maybe it's the clove oil. Very cooling, to the point of near anesthetization. Have to be careful not to use too much of this stuff. No kidding. This stuff is nearly pharmaceutical grade. And another old time one, Lustray bay rum
I just counted my collection at 26 different bay rums now, and I just heard of number 27 (Arawok) from honedright above LOL
