Aftershave differences?
I seem to remember seeing somewhere that there's a marked difference between DE aftershaves (e.g. the Gillette gel in my medicine cabinet) and straight razor aftershaves. Since I'm just starting out with the straights, what's the main thing to look for? I see lots of stuff about glycerin and alcohol, but I don't really understand what it means.
I have some really nice stuff from the Grooming Lounge that works well. Actually, the pre-shave oil, face wash, shaving cream, and aftershave have given me the best DE shave I've ever had. Will any or all of that transfer over to straight shaving? (You can see the whole set here: http://www.groominglounge.com/glss.html)
Thanks in advance!

Probably will.
There's really not much of a difference. We straight users tend to go back to the essentials. So a quite a few of us make our own aftershaves. And that's easiest with glycerin, alcohol, etc.
