Geo F TRUMPER
I contacted GFT via email earlier today asking them to send me a sample each of
- West Indian extracts of lime aftershave
&
- Bay Rum
They got back to me saying that they now require £4 to send a whole sample pack. A year ago, I got sent this whole pack for free, but I dont want the whole shabbang......
Poor from them.

2 months ago they charged me $6 US for a sample pack sent here. I didn't get to specify which samples I'd like but was happy none the less. Too bad it's not free though.

Is it a third payment you pay on top of shipment + whatever for the materials?

If I understand the situation correctly, then I think I'm in he same boat as Taylor here. Paying for the shipment on free stuff is what I'd expect personally.
And they probably don't want to split up sample packs for internal logistic/storage reasons.
I actually didn't know that you could do this at all, I've only ever purchased scents in person in a store where they usually have a test bottle they keep after you tried it out.
Maybe I should look up the GFT site.

Yes I agree on previous two posts. I also think it is correct to pay for shipping if asking for free samples.
BUT as per my post I dont want the added extra stuff they are forcing to send me in their 'sample pack'
I only want to sample the 2 said aftershaves and note that I live in UK which would mean the shipping would not come to anywhere near £4. If they dont want to split sample packs (and from my previous encounter were made up of just a bag with random stuff thrown in) then so be it. I really cannot see a sample pack costing £4/$8 to send internal UK. It must weigh a tonne.
Anyway, I've asked carter and bond who no doubt will be more obliging as my experience with them has been awesome from day 1.Last edited by poona; 03-03-2008 at 10:44 AM.
