Thanked: 586I found Pinaud Clubman at my local CVS for $6.49 so I bought a bottle. I opened the bottle and slapped some on as soon as I got in the car. They say the olfactory sense is the sense most likely to trigger memories. I gotta tell ya, that smell transported me right back to when I was maybe four and the old man walked me into a barber shop so we could both get a haircut. I remember the barber rubbing a handful of that stuff onto my face after he cut my hair and all the old men in the joint laughing. I have been smelling my hands ever since I put the stuff on. I even spilled some on the mats in my car so my car smells like that too. I don't think I want to use the stuff. I don't think I really like it but I can't stop smelling it. It's wierd but I am obsessing about it. It has given me the same uncomfortable feeling you get when a thought has slipped away during a conversation and you are struggling to remember what you wanted to say. This is maddening. I feel like those people in Close Encounters trying to figure out why they have some memory but can't place it.

I agree...I actually keep mine in a little 2 oz. spray bottle. When I use it, I wet my face and hands...three quick sprays on the palm and apply it then with my hands. It tones the scent down some and it still lasts all day long and feels great going on. I figure that little bottle that it came in should last pretty much the rest of my life.

Thanked: 2Most of the clubman products are at www.classicshaving.com, ebarbershop.com, and drugstore.com
I like the classic as well and the classic vanilla. However, I can't smell a hint of vanilla, but it smells good though.

Pretty much the same here.
I really enjoy it when I'm shaving at night and will spend the night by myself (same with English Leather). It last so long and strong on me that I get self conscious about it (love my EDTs and EDCs, but I have more control over them than a strong splash).

Thanked: 586The ingedients on the Clubman label include citronella. I wonder if it will be an effective insect repellent?
