Taylors TOBS aftershaves
Just finished reading the thread about the old spice lime and I thought i'd jump onto Taylors to see what aftershaves they have to offer ....
various different scents but not one description of what the scents smell like ..
coming in at approx £14:95 -£21.00 ( approx $28-40 ) I'm sure I'm not gonna chance buying something that could possibly turn out to smell worse than my sports socks ...
Geo F Trumper gives a pretty detailed account of there Aftershave scents ...
hopefully some of you guys could possibly enlighten me on the TOBS aftershave scents ..
cheers Garry

Thanked: 0I know of the TOBS sandalwood and limes.
The sandalwood ... I'd stay away from unless you like 'that sort of thing' ... seems very 'old man scent' to me, not like other sandalwoods.
The lime ... I love it. It's a very nice lime scent ... I have to think back to last summer since I haven't got this one out of its winter hibernation yet, but it seemed pretty straight-forward lime rather than really multi-scented. To compare it to Royall Lyme (which I also have) it's preferable, as the Royall tends to have a candy-like aspect that TOBS lacks.
You'll get the a/s burn effect that everyone wants, but there's no glycerine or anything that will give you the moisturising you might want in cooler months.

I really love the West Indian Extract of Limes AS. Although that's a GFT product.
You tried it Garry?

I've got the Bay Rum and it's quite nice. Not overpowering and good skin conditioning properties.

I haven't and I was fully intending too until I found out it is Simon Cowell ( X-factor guy ) favourite A/S ...
but to be honest I think I might give it a shot ...
The Doc4 has also put up a nice description of the TOBS lime A/S ..
I'm looking for something nice n refreshing for my trip to Thailand , it's so hot and humid over ...
Keep the descriptions coming .. I really appreciate them ..
I've had TOBS bay rum for years now .. I tend to mix it with Witch Hazel which seems to make the scent last that bit longer .. it's great

Yeah I smelled the Bay Rum in TOBS when I was in London 2 weeks ago. It's real nice and unique. Very potent.
The WIEOL is a must have. Will be my next purchase once my stinky Clubman finishes.
