Thanked: 7Anyone use Tea Tree Oil?
I've read conflicting reports on the effectiveness of Tea Tree Oil in treating shave bumps or other skin blemishes. I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's experiences, good, neutral, or bad, with it. I've been using it on a few spots on my face and neck, but so far, no real noticeable results. Thanks.

Thanked: 1i swear by it. I use tea tree face wash, toner, moisturiser, exfoliator lol even shampoo, from a company called ABC or australian body care. The face wash is very good, I used to have really spotty skin, with alot of blemishes, pretty embarrasing to say the least, but i use the face wash, toner and moisturiser every night, my face is completely clear, took about a week or two to be spot and blemish free. The tea tree oil, the pure stuff that I fink smells ace, sum people hate the smell tho, that is tea tree in its purest form, so applying a little smudge onto a spot or blemish or a cut will heal it over-night, I had a realli big spot yesterday, put on tea tree oil, by the next mornin it was just a small red smudge, like a tiny blemish, now its gone lol so pretty much over the course of 24 hours its cleared a realli bad spot. They realli are fantastic products, check out this shop its where i get all my stuff from Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Products
Its hard to buy products from ABC singularly, usually there in bundles on shopping channels, but that shop sells all the prodcuts on their own.
hope i didnt bore you too much lol

I personaly use tea tree oil in lip balm, from Desert Essence, it is really a gread product. I have used in the past a camomille cream, found in health food stores, to successfully treat rashes.

I use tea tree oil sometimes for my eczema, especially on my scalp. I've also used it for tattoo healing and a variety of other things. It's a wonderful wonder! I must agree that it's best in its purest form.

I put a couple of drops in my lather bowl. The smell is awesome, and my skin loves the stuff. Seems to help with my acne.

An Australian company called Pure Sensations sells a Tea Tree & Avocado shaving soap. I purchased a tin - not bad stuff, except the colour of the soap is khaki. which is a bit depressing in the morning. Here's a link.
Cheers

I used to use Tea Tree as part of my daily facial routine but it was too harsh for my skin and dried it out way too much.

Homemade Tea Tree Oil Balm
I like and use this stuff; I swear by it. A few years back I was surfing around the healthy sites on Google and read up a bunch on the stuff. Not too long after that the local health food store, (which sells oatmeal in bulk at rock bottom prices), the pure stuff was on sale at half price. So I bought some; I am a sucker for half price items. Got it home and initially used it as a mouthwash, couple of drops in a few ounces of water makes a healthful rinse, good for breath and gum disease prevention. The balm is made with melted petroleum jelly and drops of the full power oil. Really easy to make, and it lasts and lasts. I find it great to use as lip balm (put in 35mm film cannisters), for cuts, razor nicks, scratches, etc, etc. Last major use I had for it was a dog bite, I got a little too close to Mr. Bingo's (my 130 pound Plott Hound) food bowl; seems he sets a lot of store by his bowl and he let me know how he felt. I used the balm and it healed quickly with no infection or scar. Anyone want recipes let me know; or just Google it up. Rick
