Thanked: 1903Dr Hauschka, anyone?
Life can be fun. I switched to Dr Hauschka products about two years ago, because the air on planes gave my face some interesting challenges. It has always worked well with my shaving routine. And now I know, why (irritatingly accurate blurb from Dr Hauschka Website below):
The daily routine of shaving can be tough on facial skin. Extra care with gentle, soothing, nourishing products can keep skin from being damaged or dried. Apply Cleansing Milk before your shave to protect your skin from irritation and help lubricate the razor blade. After shaving, mist with Facial Toner to help tone the pores, balance and refresh. If oily or blemished skin is a common problem, try Clarifying Toner instead. It also helps to heal ingrown hairs. If you experience any irritation from a rushed or heavy-handed shave, apply Rhythmic Conditioner, Sensitive to soothe tender skin.Yes, I do still use Castle Forbes's pre and after shave. But I recommend Dr Hauschka's products notwithstanding. See if you can grab a sample somewhere.Last edited by BeBerlin; 11-16-2009 at 07:54 AM. Reason: Fixed links.

Hmm, these look kind of expensive, but we spend money on so much useless stuff anyways
I think I'll give it a try next time I decide I need a new shaving product.Last edited by gugi; 09-25-2008 at 01:04 AM.

It isn't a comment against the products. It is more along the lines of adding extra steps to the process.
Some people believe all it should require is water, soap, a razor and aftershave.
Others, it is water, special soap, pre/post treaments, razor, inshave treaments, aftershave, colonge etc.
Hang on...just noticed you are from Belgium...."What's frau-frau?"
Okay, "Frau" = a German married woman : wife —used as a title equivalent to Mrs.
So "Frau- Frau" = wife-wife
I think the term that was being looked for was "Fru Fru"/"Frou-Frou"!!!!
1. very decorated or girly in nature
2. lacy or frilly in nature "Those pants are extremely fru fru."/"That skirt is so fru fru."
3. Derived from the phrase spelled "frou-frou" meaning fancy, elegant or very elaborate. "The people in the wealthy section of town shops at all of the fru fru boutiques and stores."
4. (adj) describing something that has a homosexual resemblance (mainly in males)
"That way he hugged him was fru fru" "His shirt makes him look fru fru"Last edited by Sly712; 11-17-2009 at 04:49 AM.
