    Default Caswell-Massey

Anybody familiar with Caswell-Massey Greenbriar shaving soap? My wife got me one for my birthday along with a nice brush (yeah, she's great). I love it and I know that's what really matters. I'm just curious how this rates among some of the soaps I have seen mentioned here time and again.

    Thanks,
    Ed

Don't have any of their soaps. But I do have their "Newport" aftershave that is really nice!

    Default Caswell Masseey

I bought a razor strop from them in the early 70's - still using it.

I think it was made by Illinois.

Have never tried any of their othe products.

They have been in business forever and have an excellent reputation.

I have their Almond soap and a brushless cream. The almonds has a nice smell but it is not a good shaver. I hope you have better luck with that soap.

I'm glad someone much more experienced than myself seems to have had the same experience. As I'm new to SRP and to the straight world, I thought the lack of lather was simply an error on my part.
