Thanked: 102Caswell Masseey
I bought a razor strop from them in the early 70's - still using it.
I think it was made by Illinois.
Have never tried any of their othe products.
They have been in business forever and have an excellent reputation.

I have their Almond soap and a brushless cream. The almonds has a nice smell but it is not a good shaver. I hope you have better luck with that soap.

I tried their Almond and Sandalwood shaving soaps, and found both to have a very pleasant scent, but the shaving properties were far below my expectations. I use them as hand soaps now.

Hey Ron,
I don't like the Almond either, Doesn't it remind you of a Stink bug? you know, one of those Palmetto bugs that secrete that scent when you go to step on them....
Seriously, I like the Sandalwood scents, but the Almond, I will not buy again IMHO....

I got the sandalwood the other day in the mail. Prior to using, I'd used AOS Sandalwood Cream (GF loves Sandalwood!).
I had the opposite reaction you guys have mentioned; I found the Sandalwood by C-M to be GREAT! I didn't need a pre-shave oil, and it was a crisp and smooth shave. One pass and I was nearly BBS, without any pain or irritation or anything...I love their soap.
I'm interested in getting their green soap, I can't remember the name of it, but OP has a picture of it...GreenBriar? If anyone has it and doesn't want it, I'd be interested in getting it from you.
