Proraso Aftershave Splash: my mainstay alcohol AS
Many folks like alcohol based aftershave. I am one of them. My favorite by far is Proraso Splash. The alcohol concentration is not everbearing, and will not make you look like shocked McCauley Culkin as will common drugstore brands.
The scent is soothing and refreshing. It has allantoin and witch hazel, and I agree that it tones the skin well. It is a good stand alone summer aftershave. For winter months, I follow it with a balm like Proraso's, or Clinique PSH, or with an aftershave milk like Mama Bear's (which is another staple for me).
One other thing that makes this my mainstay is that it works well with other products. The scent is very light and fleeting, so you can follow it with any cologne or EDT (I prefer to get my scent from EDT's rather than aftershave) or balm.

Thanked: 1262I've had bad experiences with alcohol based stuff in the past(kiehls blue herbal for example), but may bite the bullet and try this.
I love the cooling of proraso.

Proraso is a great splash, but more of a summer splash IMO. It was my first splash and I will probably always have some in my den.
Superlather.com keeps the 400ml bottle, but with the shipping/exchange rate it doesn't worth it. But if you are in the states I would recommend to go for it.

An all-around great splash. One that I particularly like during the summer months. I have the 400 ml bootle to make sure I don't run out anytime soon.

Thanked: 44I was going to avoid alcohol aftershave since I heard it can really dry out your skin, but if I can follow this one up with lotion or a balm then I can somewhat counter that could I not? I will definitely look into this.
