The cheapest pre/post shave cream
Hello gents...
I've been using Nivea Soft as preshave and as a postshave cream for a while now...
I can tell you that it serves for that purpose very well...
It is very mild and it prevents razor burns and it also makes a nice basis for aftershave on sensitive skin...
You get 300 mL for 35 kn ( around 6$), at least here in Croatia...

I also like Nivea products. I use the Extra Soothing balm after every shave and it does me great.

I like the nivea replenishing? for post. I haven't really used it as a pre. I have been using clean and clear dual action moisturizer as a pre and post and it seems to be working quite well. I've only found it in one size at walmart for about 7 bucks.

It seems to me Nivea has always been regarded quite well. I don't think it's only marketing that keeps them where they are at. They've been in the business of skin care for quite some time now and definitely have a lot of expertise.
You can say the same about Gillette as well though But at the risk of gettng kicked in the forum I'm moderating, I'd say Gillette's product works really well for what it is, even though there are better ones
How's this for diplomacy

I have had great luck with Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Little known, highly effective product!
16 oz tub seems to last forever, around $12. Great pre and post.

I've found plain old Noxema to work well also. I know of at least one barber who uses it this way as well.
